Before Auction

 

  • Inspect the property on auction in good time and decide beforehand if you are interested in the property, as all property is sold "voetstoots"(as is), without any guarantees.

  • Make sure that you receive a folder on arrival that contains the terms and conditions of sale. Read this document and familiarize yourself with the contents.

  • Should you be interested in participating in the auction, register as a bidder and pay your registration fee at the appointed place and to the appointed person beforehand. If you do not bid on any goods at the auction, your registration fee will be refunded. You will receive a bidders card with a unique number printed on it.

  • Determine the amount which will be payable upon conclusion of your transaction. It is not advisable to bid if you do not have the funds available to conclude the sale, or if you have not made proper financial arrangements, as a bidder is legally bound by his/her bid.

  • No cash is accepted, fully or in part, at any auctions. Therefore you need to make sure that your financial arrangements are in place prior to the auction or as arranged with the auctioneer.

  • Please ask all relevant questions before the auction commences and make sure you know which property you are bidding on.

  • Remember that commission and taxes may be payable over and above the bid price.
